BY CAR
From Geneva and West : direct access via the « Autoroute Blanche » E25-A40, then from Chamonix to Argentière by a ‘route nationale’ R.N.506 (8km up the valley)
From Switzerland: by the motorway to Martigny, then by a ‘route nationale’ via the Col de la Forclaz, then via the Col des Montets
From Italy: to Chamonix via the Mont-Blanc Tunnel

BY TRAIN
A fast train TGV can take you to the neighbouring towns and cities like: Annecy, Lyon, Bellegarde or Chambéry, then the connection is ensured by local ‘TER’ train to Saint Gervais-Les Bains-Le Fayet ( you will need to change here), located at 20 km from Chamonix. Your target station is Argentière, Haute Savoie. However, later in the evening (usually after 8 p.m.) you can only get to Chamonix Mont Blanc station, and then you will take a taxi.

BY PLANE
Geneva is the closest airport, but you can also fly into Lyon, Grenoble or Turin (not recommended); from there you have a choice of:
- hiring a car at the airport
- travelling by train
- using daily public bus company SAT (www.sat-montblanc.com/, Tel: +33(0)450530115)
- using a minibus transfer services:
- using a taxi service (expensive)
